Teeth preserve their vitalities through their nerves and vains within their root canals.
The procedure for endodontic treatment is done through removal of the nerve within the canal, disinfecting the canal, shaping the canal with special instruments and filling the canal with canal filling materials.
Due to inadequate restorations, deep caries and traumas teeth lose their vitalities and become infected thus leading to pain and apsces. These indications may not occur at all however they can only discovered through radiologic examination.
Through endodontic treatment it is possible to treat teeth thus, avoiding extraction. It may take a few sessions to complete the treatment depending on the severity of the infection.
